Cricket World Cup

The cricket world cup starts on Saturday. Here's a list of fixtures although I'm not sure of the times. I think its going to be on a pay-per-view basis although I'm sure some enterprising soul will find decent links for the matches.

Cricket-World-Cup-2011-fixtures

They had the opening ceremony today with the magnificently named Stumpy the mascot on show.

On the message board for my old cricket club, I am trying to start a campaign to bring back Chris Tavare. I think we would win it then.

Willow TV are showing every game in HD but the package was $129 or something and the fact is that most of the games are on in the dead of night meant that I didnt really fancy shelling out.

Otherwise please post veetle links on here if anyone finds them.

Plucky Canada might have won today if they were allowed a second innings.

Would like to hear Lord vaders opinion on the game this morning.

Watched a bit of the Kenya v. NZ game last night after going out for a nice Indian meal to get in the cricketing mood, but it wasn't much of a game after Kenya collapsed for basically 9 for 28. Couldn't stay up for the Canada game. :(

Unfortunately not, Matthew Hayden got 101 in 66 balls in 2007.

Jim Davison scored 111 from 67 balls for Canada in 2003.

Which is still remarkable given he went from an ageing comedian of dubious taste and humour to world-class sportsman in such a short period of time.

That doesn't make sense. He still would've got to 100 faster unless he scored 12 of the 67th ball???

I stand corrected he got to 100 in 67 balls and then scored runs in balls after.
