Starts it's journey tonight from just down the road from me

Is it coming to a town near you?

Yes, but why?

Do you travel on it? Go and look at it dressed up in tinsel? Stand and watch Santa wave from the window? Have dinner on it?

Or just not bother?!

Anyone been on it/to see it? Does it look different to a normal train?

The train stops, its decorated, they put on a show (music, usually pretty competent), people donate food items that end up at the local food bank.

Its win win.

Doesn't stop near me, might be able to see it though since the CP lines run behind by house and to get to Oshawa has to pass through my town, but they are not stopping...

If I had the money, I would take Via to Oshawa to see it, I love the holiday train.

Yes, comes through our town but at 3pm which is pants! Firstly it will still be daylight and, secondly, I don't finish work until 4pm. Planning to make the drive to see it a few hours later at Canmore in the dark!
