Default Clocks going back

The clocks go back in the UK this weekend and next weekend in Canada.

So for the week in between the time difference will be an hour less than usual.

So pay attention to kick off times

Yay, I get an extra hour in Albuquerque. Not sure if that's a good thing or not, but at least the hotel looks nice.

It must be strange having a different time difference according to which half of the year it is. A bit like being on the half hour when everyone else is on the hour.

To tell the truth, it's easier than changing our clocks and we like being rebels. In the dead of winter it's dark at both ends of the day so we just put up with it and soon enough it's Spring again! Giving an extra hour of daylight means an extra hour of darkness to compensate, so why bother?

Same here in Creston. We don't change the clocks but go into Mountain Time from Pacific. The roadsign indicating the change of zone is moved (this time of year) from midway between Creston and Cranbrook to the Kootenay Pass, about 35klms west of Creston.

Sure. I have no strong feelings either way. We're normally 4 hours behind the UK. For two short periods where the clocks don't change on the same weekend we go 3 or 5 hours behind.

It's a little bit of a nuisance for those occasions where one has to be aware of the time in the UK or somewhere else, but for something like 49 weeks of the year it's easy.

I imagine 6 months of one time and 6 of another might lead to more phone calls and other things at the wrong time.

I'm sure I'd receive phone calls waking me up when I didn't want to

Why is that? That must be the most annoying thing in the world. Is it really necessary?
