Default Clocks go forward but not UK yet

For those places that change the clocks, this coming weekend (8th March) they go forward an hour. The UK does it three weeks later.

So for the in between periods the time difference will be an hour less than usual.

Still feels like we just changed the clocks the other way!

Now if we could just stop this silly clocking switching thing. BC needs to just say hey screw it, we will move forward on our own, waiting for 3 US states and US congress means its not likely to happen anytime soon, they have more pressing issues in congress at the moment.

AZ sits right next door to California and AZ not changing clocks doesn't make the world end, and BC being an hour off from the 3 west coast states wont make it end either.

AZ stays on standard time year round with the exception of the Navajo Nation, they choose to do day light savings on their land.

California is more likely to just adopt year round standard time, they are more interested in just not doing the change and less so on it being DST year round, they don't need congress to remain on standard time so it would be the easiest route.

I have 3 weeks of starting work an hour later and ending an hour later --meaning a midnight finish most days. It was either that or lose many hours of work entirely.

Indeed. Pre stroke days I was having to work until 3 and 4am when the clocks sprang forward in the spring...... but I don't work the late (early) hours overnight any more, never later than midnight.. so it could be worse

Only northern hemisphere. Here, those states that use daylight savings will be going back but not until April 5th
