Default Clocks change this weekend (but not UK)

Clocks go forward an hour this weekend (March 11) except for you know where.

UK clocks don't change until the 25th so for two weeks the time difference is an hour less than usual.

Our NZ clocks don't change until the 1st April.

Upside now all my evening flight will be in daylight. Woo hoo.

Downside is I am going to be tired on Sunday with 1 hour less sleep.

I hate the time changes, means in the spring I have to work til 4am for 2 weeks and in the autumn (fall) I have to start at midday for 2 weeks.

Bah humbug.

And I thought it was awkward for me having to remember different kick off times.

I'm all for the time change. Another hour less certainly makes this place a little more tolerable.

Can someone explain to me WHY...we need sunlight until 10pm at summer solstice? Isn't 9pm enough daylight?

Some places stay light past 10pm and others dont.

Latest Vancouver sunset this year is 9:22pm.

Go 2,200km south to San Diego and latest sunset is 8:00pm.

Not changing them in spring wouldn't the sun come up at like 4am?

Sunrise is like 5am in summer. Lol

In the height of the summer when you're out on the water it doesn't get dark until 10:30pm.
