Re: Christmas Tree Watch 2010
I saw a house near me yesterday with decorations out the front - a snowman and a reindeer - it was day time so not sure if they are switching them on at night to light up. Sorry, alas no pics.

I now work in the Country Cupboard downtown Red Deer, I have been coming home all glittery for two weeks. We have decorated umpteen trees and some deccies are downright scary. Christmas tree days are Fri and Sat this week all decs are 20% off if anyone is around. I do have an urge to put my own tree up but am already sick of Bing crooning out the carols.
Out of interest how many of you use tinsel on your tree?

Still there too, wasn't getting enough hours, yet another management change and I'm sick of listening to Jim Whittaker reach the top (of Mount Everest) on the video loop, so my friend who bought Country Cupboard asked me at the right time this time to go and work for her, so I decided yes but kept on at Eddie Bauer just in case it didn't work out at CC and will probably quit one (EB) after the Jan Feb slump, there are never any hours in retail after Christmas so hours get less and less, by having two jobs I should get something and to be frank the extra money I'm getting working two jobs just takes the pressure off two lots of winter bills
Really I want to get out of retail - atm an assembly line sounds good as long as there is no one to smile at and be nice too

We are starting to put our lights up here in uk, only because we have lots of booked out weekends before Christmas and thought OH would prefer to go climbing the trees now rather than in the snow ( which we have had before Christmas for the past 2 years ) We won't put them on yet though promise I still want to know how he is going to put the star on the top of a huge Christmas tree in the paddock

Put some Christmas lights up yesterday. If it's good enough for the trees outside Central City, it's good enough for me

Neighbours both sides put up their house lights yesterday. One side didn't light his, the other side did. The side that did had an amazing display last year so I think he's just getting started.

Many households here have put up lights. But I haven't seen any on yet.
They were playing Christmas music in Super Store today.

Re: Christmas Tree Watch 2010
There are few houses which are decorated by designers (Holiday House tours) here in Peterborough, it is open to the public for viewing, but you must pay something like $25 to get in.
Anyway we only put up our decorations & tree 12 days before Christmas and leave it on till Epiphany (Jan 6)
