Default Christmas post - Sorry!

Sorry to be asking this so early but I would like to know what a timely date would be to post Christmas cards to the UK?

I also have several family and friends' birthdays in December so I need to get myself sorted as this is the first year I will have to post them from BC to the UK.

Thanks

It seems I am not so early to be posting this as I thought all round, then.

Are you actually being Santa this year?

No pressure, then

I once had a parent who was asked to be Santa one year for the school Christmas Fair.

Afterwards, I asked him what he had said to the little darlings when they answered his standard,
"And what do you want for Christmas this year?"
with an outrageous list of costly gifts.

He said he just agreed to bring them everything they asked for - new bike, laptop, pony or whatever!

I had visions of the horrendous tantrums on Christmas morning when promised pony didn't appear.......

Better to just be Santa's Little Helper, then there are no awkward questions.

On a cold night, does steam come out the end of your saxophone? That would be cool.

Sadly the reality is less cool, mostly the condensation ends up in a pool in the bottom of the bell, which gets tipped over the side of the float periodically (Ew...but its condensation, not spit On the colder nights it condenses in the neck and runs back into the mouthpiece, which is pretty gross.... and on the really cold nights you have to wait for the ice to melt before you can take it apart again.

Still, at least its not a clarinet and I can play it in gloves.

I'm not bringing my flute, then.
Cannot play that in gloves and similar condensation issues.

Could do concertina but the leather bellows don't do well in the cold and damp.
How the Salvation Army managed it out in all weathers I will never know.
