Default Chopped Tomatoes

Am still stuggling to find a decent tin of chopped tomatoes. The ones I've tried are more like sieved tomatoes. Where can I buy, or what brand, that will give me chunks and juice like the Italian ones I used to buy in the supermarkets in GB. Thanks in advance.

Safeways do a whole range of chopped tomatoes - can get chopped with herbs, etc, like wot I got in UK. You're not looking in the 'pizza/pasta' section are you? There's a strange array of tomato based products in there

No name brand of diced toms at canadian superstore are ok but a bit large, so I give them a whizz in the chopper for a few secs and they are fine. I know what you mean about texture though!

Call me old-fashioned but you could use a knife to cut up plum tomatoes.

Just a thought.

Anyone want tomatoes, I have 6 plants, organic, they have gone wild.

Canned tomatoes, No thank You, Lord knows what was used to produce them and how often they were sprayed.

Exactly - put a sharp knife into the tin, wiggle your hand around randomly for about 8 seconds and hey presto, a tin of chopped tomatoes!

I use Muir Glen, fire roasted tomatoes (when I actually cook).

You could freeze them , that would give you a supply
of tomatoes for soup and sauce throughout the winter and spring.
I grow herbs and veggies but somehow not successful when comes
to growing tomatoes -will have to check the ph of the soil next year.

I grow tomatoes in a bag of compost that I bought at Superstore. They have done very well! Just cut some holes in the top and put your plant in!

Don't plant too many. I've got two vines and they are producing WAY more than we can eat. Ditto cucumbers and raspberries. Particularly raspberries.

Keeps the neighbours happy, though.
