Vernon has fewer Brits per capita, however there are just as many "chip shops" to serve the masses. I recall there is one located in the old railway station building, Seafarers I think. Let's be honest, it's not really a chip shop unless they sell mushy peas.

I introduced Mushy Peas to my neighbours at our last Bonfire Party and despite several looking a little strange at our bright green mush, they tried it and when I turned back there was none left for me :frown:

I love mushy peas and mint sauce :p just in a cup and eaten on its own with a spoon.. slurp :p

I think they are referring to UK recipe Heinz beans. They are available in NB from Pete's Frootique but at a serious cost of about $2.59 per tin.
