Hi,
Well we've been here in Mississauga for just over 2 weeks now and everything is going well so far.
I hope this hasn't been asked already (I did search honest).
In the UK when my son needed new shoes I would always have his feet measured, I was wondering which shops (in the GTA) do a similar childrens foot measuring service?
Thanks
Melanie

because nobody has come along to help yet, all I can say is here in Alberta, definitely yes. And every shoe shop has a slightly different fit - that's for sure. I miss clarks for the kids, but sears has some really nice shoes for little people.
Glad all is going well for you

I just go to payless for kids shoes but they're not very professional about measuring. Their shoes, at least for kids, are pretty good. You could also try The Shoe Company.

We have used walmarts for kids shoes when over and have some great staff help us.
Even so i think ill miss clarkes when we move as that is where they all go now
My son is 6yrs and size 3 here in the uk and was the same in walmart on last visit
My daughter is 10yrs and she is size 3 also and was size 5, so not sure if they change from male to female, but i always get my OH to double check with me

Hi there...
Shoe Company are pretty good - they measure and poke and prod as you would expect!! They usually stock Osh kosh, which I have always found pretty good....
Another good brand here is Stride rite - bit more like Clarkes or Start rite shoes...I do miss Clarkes though!!

In terms of brands, Stride-Rite seem to be amongst the best for "proper" shoes for toddlers and early walkers, we have tended to go for one decent pair of those and supplement with sandals/trainers/whatever from the likes of Payless and Walmart. The Joe range at Real Canadian Superstore has some pretty good kids' shoes as well.

Hi,
Thanks to you all - looked up Stride right on the web and have found a few local places that do them.
Take care

Hello, we went to Kiddie Kobbler, there are loads of them in Ottawa but I wouldn't know if they are elsewhere. Price wise they are a step up from Clarks but not massively.
