Default Cheese Gromit !

Hi

Need help form you guys , been in Canada for 16 months now , not much i really miss, but one thing cheese..

I used to love the inn keepers choice from Morrison's , it was a strong white chedder with pickled onions in it, Asda used to do one a bit the same but with caramelized onions in the white chedder..

Any of you guys recomend a cheese shop/ deli in the Brampton/Miss area where i can " feed the need".

order some from Chedder Gorge via the web last year , bloody good, but a lot of money..

Gary

Get thee to the St Lawrence Market and survey the wonders of the cheese emporiums therein.

I've never seen cheese with onions in it at the market. Mind, it's not something I'd be looking for.

Sounds like a decent post pub snack; get home have a bit of cheese with a pickled onion in it and maybe some pork pie. I can imagine doing that. Not that I've ever bought cheese with onions in it and I guess you could achieve the same affect by buying them separately.

Yes, I'd try it if I saw it. I sometimes get the cheese with embedded jalapenos.

It does sound rather nice. I'd give it a try, deffo. I won't be repeating last night's experiment. Baked brie with chilli jelly. Not a great success.

Empire Cheese does a cheddar with caramelised onions. Contact them to find out where you can buy the stuff.

If you are looking for a decent cheddar then try Baldersons, PC is ok too

Costco has plenty of cheese choice at decent prices

If you come a bit further East there is a great cheese stall at Boyces Farmers Market in Fredericton Saturday morning 6am -1pm

It isnt unusual to see provinical ministers and even the premier queuing for cheese.
