The Salvation Army gets my donated dollars, you can't beat them for bang for the buck and they're fabulously politically incorrect.
I am so with you on the Salvation Army, they are an excellent example of what "Christians" should be.

They are the only large charity I support (and I'm an atheist).

In Saskatchewan the big fund raiser is Telemiracle. Its a 24 hour fund raising concert that is televised. Run by the Kinsmen, it raises millions to help people with special needs.
