The trade deal to increase imports was political, this is apparently for our own good. Smacks of Orwell. I can't complain over banning an energy drink, but it's unfair to leave all our own on the shelf.
Novo, it's like I told you, Harper is a hero for prosecuting bad Mike, bad Pamela, bad Patrick, etc and unless someone still has their old orange NDP sign sticking out of the snow in the front yard that little white lie about Nigel and the cheque is likely forgotten. Now even that's overshadowed by this mid-east junket, which event sickens me personally but will gain him some support from the electorate and definately within his own party and the chosen delegation he's comping for the trip. Unless he gets drunk and mows down a bus stop full of people or they find a dead hooker in his car he could be around for a while yet. You said I was stupid or crazy or something before when I told you he would get away with the senate scandal, but I still think he will and as I predicted he seems to have benefited. I'd like to see him walk the length of Gaza City doing a meet and greet.

Same - we currently have 1.5kg of the stuff - we should be OK for a while.

Is Marmite banned in schools or is there a separate room for it?

That deal isn't in force yet as they are still working out the details. The saddest thing about that is, as soon as I read about it, the first thing I thought of was 'I wonder if this means that I'll be able to get Dairylea cheese now?'

If they are targeting British foods I wonder if they will also target foods from countries like India and China which are likely to be far more harmful than British food.

Does that mean they will ban French Vanilla "coffee" at Tim Hortons?

Someone is obviously getting bored and thinking of ways to protect the poor Canadians from the healing power of Irn Bru especially from hangovers.

Taken from the article
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is cracking down on products like Marmite and Irn-Bru, saying they have too many vitamins and minerals. It said a number of products from the United Kingdom contain ingredients not allowed in Canada.
This is so Canadian. Just keep eating the Mac and Cheese and TH donuts.

Isn't Irn Brew made from Girders? A work man was killed in Mississauga by a falling Girder/roof at the Sheridan Mall construction site last week, maybe there is a link

actually just has a small amount of ammonium ferric citrate hence the "irn". was probably my favourite drink back home but I struggle to justify paying over $3 for a 500ml bottle these days.
