I only discovered him recently after looking up the song on Spotify. It surprised me that such a popular song was made by an artist I hadn't heard of...at least his music will live on.

It'll be because at some point in the past a company with that name complained to Admin that they were being discussed in a negative manner on BE or they spammed a lot so they would have been put in the naughty/banned list. As far as I remember there are only two words on the 'forbidden' list.
