These sort of companies can't guarantee a good car or even the full facts. If for example the car has been in an accident, that has not been reported to the insurance company and has been repaired on the side, it won't show up on the car fax report, save your money
It's probably better to spend the money on someone who knows what they are looking at.

On the news today that here in NS they are introducing laws to make it a requirement for dealers to display on the windshield if a car has been in an accident and deemed a rebuild etc, not sure when this is being implemented.

Yeah I found that when I did a search last night - shame they didn't start it sooner!

I think they will have to run a check, anything that is written off etc by insurers is recorded so they will be able to obtain this information from a database of some kind and I suppose what the new law is saying , is that they will now have to display this information. Granted this will only cover situations where vehicle has been subject to an insurance claim, but it helps
