If you're venturing out this way anytime try Cochrane Candies as they seem to sell just about everything. There is a UK shop here too but couldn't say if they do them or not. Bragg Creek has quite a good ice cream/candy store too. Also, if you're heading in the direction of Banff anytime, there's a candy store there too in the main street that sells just about everything - they even sell Blackpool Rock!

British Pantry on Northland Drive has some "old style" jars of sweets. Not sure if they had bonbons but probably worth a look.

Yes, I might just try that. I'm in the NW so going out to Cochrane is easier then Mckenzie. I also thought about the store in Banff, been to that one before, but those bonbons will end up costing me a lot
Thanks

Here in NS it's sold in both Sobeys and Atlantic Superstore so no need to find Brit specialist stores. Think it's about $2.79 for a small bottle.

Minced beef is called hamburger here. All other meat available and is usually cheaper than than the UK. Even get oatmeal (white) puddings, blood (black) pudding, Tetley tea, digestives, rich tea, and a whole host of other brit foods throughout the supermarkets. In the 4 years we have been here I notice a huge difference in the variety of European foods now available in local supermarkets. We can even by Tunnocks goodies at a corner store. For haggis we get ours from our Canadian friend's freezer. He buys them fresh from a butcher in Antigonish. Not quite the same as Scottish haggis but not too bad though

PS Just looked at some of your previous posts and see you are headed to Calgary so you may not get these 'delights' in your supermarket and may have to shop at Brit stores and pay inflated prices.

All the best for your 'landing'
