housing report on Global edmonton AB (local TV) last night gave stats for last 3mths of year(think only really started listening around this bit) which gave a 1%drop for houses current av. $365,000 and a 2% rise for condos at $240. this bit i did pay attention to. the current/recent drop is temporary, predictions from spring onwards are a steady, not dramatic as last year, rise of around 5-7%. now not sure if this was for the year or over summer. friend of ours bought last dec for 365k just sold for 455K.

Have the attitudes towards the west changed from that perspective yet...I would think not.
