Aren't your hardware stores part of methwatch?

Let's accept this as a reasonable proposition. Given the length of the border, this translates into a population density of about 26 people per square kilometer.

Compare this to 383 people/km^2 in England.

I'm not about to accept the metrialisation of England but, it I were, I might point out that the bit of the border between Detroit and Seattle is unsettled wilderness. There isn't much crime where there aren't many people.

If we were to attempt to compare statistics we'd first have to choose a comparable environment, say Toronto vs Birmingham, or Quebec to Windsor vs. the UK. Then we could spend countless hours pointing out that the categories of crime don't match.

Nonetheless, shootings are common in Toronto. It's not as safe as posters here think and it's not a new problem:

Oh, sorry dbd old fruit. I quite forgot who I was talking to there: that's fifteen and eight twenty-fifths people per square furlong.

Hope that's clearer now.

PS It's OK to use base ten numbers isn't it? Or would prefer some other, more English, system?

PPS metrialisation isn't a word in any language with which I'm familiar.

They do make exceptions for some.

They are allowed to move to Ottawa and live with the equally weird politicians and bureaucrats.

Tut tut. Surely to use dozens, scores, hexadecimal, or any such scheme would be as much of an affectation as translating everything to kilowotsits.

Binary would be an interesting proposition.

PRINT! Where have you been???? I hear you've left work though, and moved house. Next month eh, DON'T GIVE THE MEDALS BACK! My mother's starting to talk along those lines about medals my grandfather gave me from the first world war, but as I'v already pointed out, he gave them to ME, not anyone else.
I'm changing my address periodically as I'm in trouble with BE law, (as opposed to LA Law a crap tv show) and sometimes changing my gender, I've been making rude comments to/about others again.
My daughter has decided to marry some bloke she met 4 months ago, so Canada thing now up in the air. Still trying to sort the situation out.

Have you had your medical yet? The blood/urine results should be a giggle.

Holy cow!!!!!
I saw you had a thread closed as you called someone a "dung face"

I've been a bit busy and this could be the last time i post for a while as we don't have a connection in the rental place but will have one when we get to Canada.
Just posted an update on my "roller coaster" thread.
