Default Canada Post Christmas mailing dates

With a yardblower thread heralding the imminent arrival of the snow around the country (but not Kelowna before anyone comments), I got to thinking about Christmas presents and last posting dates back to the UK.

For anyone interested, and not relying on internet shopping, the link attached gives all the details. October 27th is the key date for parcels going by surface mail.

Planning Christmas now....OMG I'm turning into my mother.

http://www.canadapost.ca/AboutUs/Cor...ayMailing.aspx

Previous years saw some useful threads about websites offering wrapping/delivery of gifts in the UK. Might dig them out once I've recovered from unseasonably early Christmas spirit. I'm resisting the urge to open the egg nog and bake mince pies.

Well, I let him think he is.

I love the first snowblower thread of the season, means winter's on it's way, like cuckoos in spring back in England.

Goodness not another, you're the third one that can't wait for winter.

You have a choice, to your room or go stand in the corner.

I can't do either. I'm on the porch in my rocking chair, with my shotgun, hunting mice.

I am sceptical about surface mail as I sent a parcel in the middle of July and it still hasnt arrived.

It cost so much to send my airmail tho. Maybe I wont bother and just fall out with everyone instead. So much cheaper.
