It's always been our policy that if any member is uncomfortable being named in one of the end of year polls then we remove them. It happens every year, I haven't had one year yet where someone hasn't asked to have their name taken off. It's no big deal, or conspiracy, and there is no skullduggery or funny business going on, cause if there was I would have added myself to the "Best Female Crumpet" poll

See now, I was going to do polls like you guys have, but then decided not to and to basically get people to PM me with the votes, then I ( honest Jo that I am) bascially add up who got the most votes and tadaaaaa there's the winner!

I suppose if required I could sit up all night tonight after a very hard days work and hash out all the categories and nominess into a poll like thing, if indeed anyone thinks it would be worthwhile????

Bearing in mind whats happened in the Lounge polls I presume I'd need to be removing the front runner (no pun intended) for the smack in the chops category (or whatever it's called?!)

I think you should drop the category. Once you eliminate the crybaby the winner's victory will be tainted, everyone will know that he, or she, was really only a feeble second.

Maybe next year.. then we can watch with baited breath to see if 'our' favourite is winning or not. It's quite fun to see the votes in progress.

I agree although it is a shit load of work, having painfully followed Sally throughout Sunday afteroon / evening as the categories were going up!

If they dont want the recognition of their peers for their contribution over the past year then maybe they should just consider whether its worth their precious time posting here.
