Whilst getting my drink on and letting the girls all have a nap... I thought I'd amuse myself by posting some photos I took today of the local Canada day parade. If anything, to show those who've not made it here yet what to expect.
Please feel free to add your own Canada day photos (especially the ones you might regret posting tomorrow morning!)

Ah.. finally found it:

The locals put so much effort into these events. I really shouldn't knock 'em and they're a good bit of fun (although I can do without every other vehicle advertising their business) but the kids do enjoy the entertainment.

Amazing pictures. What would be the equivalent event in England ?

Alex in the Appleglass mini truck was at my bbq this afternoon with his mom who is Elvis' sister
You are right Greenhill, such a lot of work goes into all the community events around town. Makes for a great summer filled with loads of events. Lobster Festival next week, then it's the 3 day Music Jubilee, RCMP Musical Ride, Dragonboats races and Festival of the Tartans to name but a few

Here's a couple of ours - watching the flypast, etc at the Citadel in Halifax, then Peggy's Cove - fantastic weather. It's great living here that our Wedding Anniversary now happens to fall on Canada Day - 16 years today

Ah yes, the Nova Scotian parade, is there anything in the world quite as quaint, well meaning & yet as utterly shit & depressing.?..
