Default Canada Day

Well we're about to have our first Canada Day here in Calgary, any suggestions on what to do, where to go with young kids?

Happy Canada Day Weekend!!

I suspect many planned celebrations in and around Calgary have been cancelled because of the flooding situation. The local paper probably has details of what celebrations are going ahead.

Fort Calgary, Heritage Park, Shaw Millenium Park. For the new arrival, they would be a good place to start.

If I were you I'd take the kids swimming. Once in a lifetime opportunity.

I have a litre and a half, oops, quarter of Martini Rosso and ice and a few limes and the proven ability to aquire more. Today I'm going to bbq some ribs and celebrate Italian-Canadians. Before taking the pork out I've celebrated Jewish - Canadians by having a toasted bagel with smoked salmon and cream cheese.

Aha, a man of exquisite taste. That's also our routine summer time aperitif.

Except we use lemon not lime, but I'm sure that's also good.

<checks watch. Damn it's a bit early>
