Default Canada is cold........

A mate of mine has recently emigrated to Canada & has just posted on facebook complaining about the cold. I guess he didn't do much research before moving did he

I think Canadians complain about the weather more than Brits do - so he should fit in well

You have to learn to like winter sports & activities over there or the Canadian winters will drive you nuts. I chose to opt out for several reasons and after seeing temps. of -23C and the like on the Edmonton forecast today I have to say I'm glad I'm here & not there.

14c sun n cloud today in Ajax, with light drizzle forecast in the afternoon. The light drizzle reminds me of somewhere?

Did the OP friend mention that during the summer the temp hardly dropped lower than 30c all season and on several days it was above 40c, hitting 49c in July

We were there together 20 years ago as young squaddies so we're both fully aware of the highs & lows (especially the lows, Medicine Hat dropped to -51 in the winter of '91).

It would seem though that my memory is better than his
