hmm - not suprising - we often shop at Croydon as better shops than sutton and easire to get to / park than Kingston - but the attitiude of some of the kids there - hatefu!!

What in the crime stats would lead you to that assumption?

Still like to know what you see in the stats that makes you come to your assumption?

It says

"Western provinces continued to have the highest crime rates, while Ontario and Quebec were at the lower end."

I know what it says but that doesn't mean that the sort of attack discussed in the original post is any more likely to occur in western Canada than it is in eastern Canada.

Oh agreed. Of course it's not likely to happen in the UK either, otherwise it wouldn't be a topic of discussion.

But do we beleive everything we read in the media?

1 big difference though here is the cops are packing!

But the crime, unlikely as it is, illustrates the lack of respect certain aspects of society have for the police and the law in this country, which is surely a growing phenomenon. Is it the same in Canada?
