Well sometimes it's more than just about the cheese. Where the cheese comes from can bring back many childhood memories!!!

Yes, and it's pretty good, made me quite excited before I moved over here. Now I rely on imported stuff for "good" cheese and marble cheddar for grilled cheese.

Every craft cheese I've tried from Quebec has been a huge disappointment.

bricks of Cracker Barrel and the like... that isn't cheese.

Cracker Barrel extra old - same price but smaller bar - is really very good. Actually better than some of the Baldersons supposedly older stuff.

Picked up some jalapeno havarti today too.

It's one called Canadian Cheddar.

Did not know that on the UK Canadian cheddar! I guess some of it is made in Canada. Will have to do some more research in Tesco and Waitrose.

Why did I think Shard was in Canada? Or are you just visiting the UK?

I will give it a try- but one of my disappointments with Quebec cheese was OKA, which is also Agropur. It's not that it was bad, it was just indistinguishable from the regular supermarket plastic cheese blocks.
