I know they ski there, but believe me its not the same. Pow not really a feature

Lots of interesting places to visit within a 7 hr drive of Calgary. we have been all over (OK so a lot of it to ski resorts..........), but still lots of good places. Not big cities though

Talk about clutching at straws!

Like I say depends whther you are a city or a country person.

Living surrounded by all those people in Ontario makes me shudder. Each to their own

I don't know about Ottawa but Calgary is an incredibly family friendly city. With small child you will find plenty of activities to keep busy and you will meet many people with young families. Schools are plentiful and you will have lots of choices when the time comes.

Who really cares what those that don`t live here and have probably spent little time here think. It is like saying that all those that reside in Vancouver are homeless, drug smoking, hippies. Based on cliche but why let facts get in the way.

I quite enjoy reading posts from those that say that all those living in Calgary are redneck, conservative, cowboys. It just demonstrates their ignorance.:p

You are right, of course.

I would just throw in that the most overtly racist comment I've ever heard in Canada was heard in Calgary.

"There's something funny about that guy........Jewish or something."

Comment made by an ethnic Asian.

So, if you are not white you won't meet many young families and have plenty of schools to choose from??

Explain, please.
