They appeared to be fine to me but, as I didn't use the intersection, I can't really comment.

It was empty though and I was surprised that the speed limit was so low (100). We had to use Deerfoot coming back and the difference in volume was amazing.

I will use it whenever I need to go to the airport.

I don't think it will stay amazing, people haven't worked out that it's less busy, yet. I wonder what that guy with the Ferrari I used to see driving like an idiot on the NE section will do now.

I agree that the volume will increase.

It is, essentially, a dead straight road and the intersections on and off have been built far better than those on Deerfoot so, one hopes, even when it is busy, traffic should keep moving. Time will tell

I still chuckle at the term, "ring road'".

Was definitely busier yesterday compared to Friday...can see a future bottle neck in the making at 17th Ave...where the road is only 2 lanes..before it becomes 3 lanes just past that intersection....52nd street intersection looks ok to me but then it is dark when im using it.

I wonder if they'll finish it now. Then we can all get into our time machine and go back to October 1st for the opening.

thought we had some progress happening on Friday afternoon when I saw the cones and the flashing diamonds out on the on-ramp

alas they were changing street-light bulbs

Anyway I've been around it several times now, that bottleneck is artificial, on the NE section, lane #1 has been set up as a hard shoulder but on the SE section I think they decided to save a few pennies and opened it from the start. They're still working on a bridge on the NW section so once that is finished I think the whole thing will be three lanes.

The bridge over MacLeod is still a bit of a mess, still has temporary traffic lights because the ramp hasn't been finished.

Once again as with the Deerfoot there is no consistency to the intersections, so I keep ending up in the wrong lane and/or going in the wrong direction.

Even Ric McIver has apparently lost his rag with the Bow Bottom Trail exit off the Deerfoot I read and they're going to redesign the Southland Drive bridge, on-ramp etc.

I thought to myself, fantastic, it will be so much easier to get to the airport! And then I came off at Country Hills Blvd and that whole road from the ring road is in bits. I knew about the new tunnel but there is a ton of residential construction along there as well.
