Calgary school won't be named Trudeau

They have just announced the name of a new elementary school in Milton, ON - Tiger Jeet Singh School - after the famous 1970's Canadian wrestler.
Of course, he's done a TON of charity work and great things for the city, but still - it's pretty awesome

I'm not going to go around arguments about Trudeau again, I see him as the architect of modern Canada and I know that I would not be in Canada but for him.
I do think though that multiculturalism, the idea of semi-detached citizenship, is uniquely Canadian. Other countries accept dual citizenship but I think it's only in Canada that it's usual to take citizenship but to remain primarily loyal to, and identified with, somewhere else.

Calgary has named schools after some interesting characters - Louis Riel, John Ware, Nellie McClung etc There is also one named after John Diefenbaker - I'd not known much about him but according to Wiki:
Diefenbaker appointed the first woman minister to his Cabinet and the first aboriginal member of the Senate. During his six years as Prime Minister, his government obtained the passage of the Canadian Bill of Rights and granted the vote to members of the First Nations and Inuit peoples. In foreign policy, his stance against apartheid helped secure the departure of South Africa from the Commonwealth of Nations, but his indecision on whether to accept nuclear weapons from the United States led to his government's downfall.
He was a conservative PM. Clearly the changes that happened in lots of countries in those times were the product of changes in society not just one political party in one country.

What actual polices that Trudeau was directly responsible for, that has brought about such passionate dislike for this man? Or is it just the usual ill-informed quasi-ideological hogwash that the masses liberally parrot as rational political analysis?

I believe Bill Clinton and the Dali Lama were invited to speak in Alberta recently also.

Trudeau's Legacy with respect to Western Canada
Legacy With Respect to Quebec
In addition to the above, his personality grated many people the wrong way, he was often accused of being an arrogant egomaniac.
