Well guys
It has been a very hard 12 months - 6 of them as a separated family but from 12.35 tomorrow lunchtime Calgary time the Burton Bunch will finally be a whole bunch again !
I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to BE members past and present who have helped me through this horrendous period - those of you who have given me the most support know who you are as I still speak regularly to most of you.
How do I feel ? You know I really dont feel very much really - very tired and drained and just want to get home for good.
How did the goodbyes go - great until friday night when I had to say bye to my bessie mate and then tonight when I had t say goodnight to my mom and dad - that has to be the worst thing I have ever done in my whole life and I hurt like hell.
Most of you know that my mom has been a nightmare through this whole experience but in the last few weeks I just dont know what I would have done without her.
Thanks once again - our journey is nearly over
Thank God !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where is the update???????
The fact you've been seperated from your family for ages and are having a loving reunion isn't a good enough reason to not post about your trip

Gaynor!!!
Is there anybody there

Perhaps the flight was delayed
She might still be at Manchester Airport
Perhaps all the power is off in Lethbridge

Hi all,
just to say we actually saw Gaynor and her son at calgary airport Sunday. Wewere there to fly back to UK and she came in on our returning plane. We were behind glass and waved at her as she went pasted,
coming off the plane. Great to see her, landing to start her new life. We were over there on holiday/research trip with my brother-in-law and family, who are also emigrating.
Good luck to you Gaynor and family, we hope to see you soon.
regards,
Carl & Tracey & Kids

Hope you all had a fabulous time and can't wait to live there for real!
How weird is that - seeing Gaynor coming in on the flight that you were returning on!
Well, at least we know she and Nate got there safely.
Gaynor - Hope you will still be on here telling us of your reunited family life in Lethbridge. Hope the sale of the house goes through quickly for you so that your capital is released at last. Hope your belongings get there in tact and on time and that you don't have to go through what Ann M and family went through. Hope that you have a fun August, (which is BC's best month during the summer so I hope it is in Alberta too).
Enjoy, enjoy girl, you so deserve it after all you've had to put up with.

Hi Gaynor and family,
Hoping everything goes brilliantly for you all , you lucky things!
You were the very first person to answer our initial question way back in May and as usual your response was informative, to the point and always polite!
We always enjoy reading about your antics, hope they continue now you have finally arrived!
All the very best
Sue and Kev

Guys guys guys
Patience is a virtue - I was always taught - maybe that is why I am so bloody impatient
Yeah it is right that we saw the Gibbos at Calgary - thought who the hell is that man waving at. Had forgotten that they were going back on my plane ! So It was a big thumbs up that awaited me when we disembarked.
Flight good, excess baggage was crap but that is another story which I am going to be taking up with Canadian Affair/Air Transat cos they have you all ways.
Nice to be home and stuff, house in UK due to complete at the end of the month so we are viewing houses here now - should have viewed 2 today but one of them was sold yesterday
and it was the one I really wanted too
So that is it for now - will post some more later

Yey! Hi Gay, only an hour's difference now, so I won't be able to join you on the MSN nightshift anymore!
Grand you're over here at last, say hi to the family from us.
Jen and Molly can't wait to see Hannah!
OK Murrays
PS You slept yet?
