My wife makes Bird's Instant Custard all the time. Harder to get the British custard powder though, but worth it as it has a lot less crap in it than the Canadian/US version. She can make jam roly poly too!
I love her very much.....

Learn something new every day, right? This is what the old boys are putting in their tea; one drop tastes like a Cadbury Rum & Butter candy bar. A spoonfull is another matter. 160 proof.

The thing is it's good, not like the Wray & Nephew from Jamaica - that stuff goes under the sink with the cleansers.

Unfortunately I hate the consistency of canned custard, but I will remember that if I need it and run out of the other stuff, so thanks - I didn't know they sold it!

Whenever I have tried Canadian imitations of British foods I am extremely disappointed both at the product and myself for again fooling for it!

I learned with Fish and Chips pretty quick, but took me a little longer with other stuff.

Marmite is evil. With a bit of luck it will get confiscated at the border so it doesn't spread across Canada

Terry's chocolate orange are everywhere here no? I am sure I have seen them in every supermarket chain..
