Godsend, or cruel and unusual punishment? Your thoughts........

I've never tried it either. Is it like Friar's Balsam (strange dark stuff that was so foul my father would give it to us on sugar lump) ?

It's great! It's nowhere near as bad as the ads portray. Take a big ol swig!

I remember looking up Friar's Balsam on the Internet, just to see if it still existed. I thought it was that stuff that my Mom used to put in a bowl of hot water and then you stuck a towel over your head, put your head over the bowl and breathed in the fumes - and that was supposed to clear your cold. I can't remember if it did any good and but it didn't feel great breathing in all that hot steamy Friar's Balsam!

Last time I bought cough medicine was when the dogs got kennel cough
. Normally OH just has to suffer but then he never justs gets a cold it's always man flu
, so coughing lots means man flu is really serious
.

Buckley's smells bad tastes worse and doesn't seem to work but is a good threat when daughter is trying to skive of school with an imaginary cold, she soon gets on the bus when I ask: 'Buckley's or school?'
