Default Broadband Packages In The Uk

Hi All

Just phoned my provider AOL to cancel my package as my friend gave me a wee tip, that if you phone to leave because you have been offered a better deal they will change it, just saved myself £15.99 per month as my package has went from £24.99 to £9.00 hope this helps somebody else save the same. Although its not a great deal its better my pocket me thinks and I would imagine this would apply to you people already in Canada as well.

All the best
Danny

I called Bell last year because I wanted to change my ISP and needed to know the date of expiry on my curent contract. They persuaded me to stay with them by:

1. Freezing the Broadband rate for a further 12 months
2. Reducing all my phone call costs regardless of calling distance
3. Giving me a $40 credit against the next bill because she "like my accent"!! I always knew that would come in handy one day

I was genuinely going to change, but that was too good to refuse.

Works in the UK too - but beware if you're moving of getting tied into 12 month contracts.

One tip though Danny ... if you were to leave AOL you will find it almost impossible to remove all the AOL files from your computer .... the software really embeds itself into your system and takes over a lot of operations, such as internet explorer
