Bringing e-cigarettes over the border ...
#1
I understand the sale of nicotine e-cigarettes is banned in Canada, but is it legal to buy in the US and bring them over the border for personal use?
Would appreciate anyone's help .... Mr. Google has not led me to any conclusions!

My kids do and they still have their liberty.

I get mine sent from white cloud, they are usually marked as flashlight parts by the company themselves.

From the Health Canada website
Electronic cigarette products with nicotine and/or health claims require authorization prior to being imported or sold in Canada. To date, no electronic cigarettes with nicotine and/or health claims have been authorized by Health Canada and their safety, quality, and efficacy remain unknown.
Electronic cigarette products without nicotine and without health claims can legally be imported and sold in Canada, provided they meet the general safety requirements of the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act. However, Health Canada advises Canadians not to purchase or use electronic cigarettes as these products may pose health risks.
I suspect CBSA will seize commercial importations but might turn a blind eye to a personal importation. I haven't seized any yet off a traveller.

Is there not a reciprocal agreement yet saying that we can take Kinder eggs to the USA if we can bring E-cigs back to Canada ?

Just watch out for the e cigarettes that have a rechargable battery, someone in the UK was recharging hers, and it exploded and burnt part of the house down.

So then the folks go and smoke real cigs and that does not damage their health
Wonder which joker from health Canada came up with that line.

They sell the stuff here under the counter. My mate buys it all the time. He's easy to find in the dark as he lights up like a police car very few minutes.

I noticed on my last trip to the UK that some of my still smoking relatives and friends had switched over from real cigarettes to the electronic ones. That must have cut the tax they pay by a few hundred a year.

Eh?
My missus uses a nicotine e-ciggy and has just got one for me. Both were bought from a shop in Ottawa. Nothing underhand. The place has a website. I think it is one of several retail outlets in the city.
