Hi all, I am desperate need of getting an invite for this tracker, I used to be a member there and was inactive due to a hardware failure, had to wait 5-6 weeks for it to be repaired and now cannot login because of inactivity

I used to have an account there, but found it increasingly difficult to keep up the ratios so it's now gone too, so unfortunately I can't help. For BBC shows though I recommend using Tunlr and the BBC iPlayer - works well. Tunlr also works with most US streaming sites too, so it's very handy and lighter than using a VPN.

Very true that, they do have an amazing selection of old shows on there. Have you tried hopping on their IRC channel and explaining the situation?

yep, I tried, they were unwilling to do anything, regardless of my situation (Powercut fried my motherboard ) I was just told to wait until the sign ups were open. I asked them when they were going to be open next, they responded saying "I don't know".

If I had invites left I'd probably give one, but alas none left.
Others could be reluctant as from what I recall, if they just leech, then your account could be locked out, as they only want you to give invites to people who aren't going to simply leech and run. Fair enough reason I suppose.

For example on one of my trackers here's my stats: Ratio: 1.746 Up: 1.42 TB Down: 831.64 GB

I can show statistics proof on my client and on websites with screenshots. If anyone offers, these proofs could help make them feel easier giving me the invite. I would provide all info in private. I really am desperate to become a member here again.

Please don't keep asking members for an invite. We tend to discourage people giving invites to new members...as it can jeopardise their membership should you break the site's rules. Thanks.

I understand where you are coming from regarding giving out invites. Pestering is not my intention, I was just informing people of what is the situation and if they ever had one I'd still be looking for one.

This message is just informing those that have been reading this topic I have found out that thebox.bz have removed all the ability to invite anyone. Which of course is very frustrating, I logged on the IRC explaining the situation, all they could say was I have to wait until sign ups are open again. I asked them if they had a idea of when they would be open, they replied saying "I don't know". Very helpful, not!

In that case you will have to be patient and keep an eye out for them opening the membership.

I find it rather poor to be honest, staff not even knowing when sign ups will be open. Sounds like the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing.

Considering nobody has the ability to invite. Those who are same boat as I am looking for an invite will know why by reading this topic that it is not possible, you may as well close the topic.

I thought it was done on numbers, you can not expect them to know when the numbers will go down sufficiently to re-open membership.

What I was told it was up to the powers that be. For me if there was a specific limit, then surely it would not accept invites when the ability for it was enabled. Who knows, I or they may be wrong from what they said to me.
