Me I chuck everything, (apart from suff that really shouldn't be chucked liked insurance documents etc) - under duress o/h wants everything kept (has files from all pay stubs dating back years - WTF is that for )

So now important stuff (such as finance agreements blah blah) gets kept til its not needed anymore then it all gets binned.

I'll deal with getting copies should the need ever arise.

Glad to be of service

As an aside I did try to get all my our bills paperless but now we have so many goddam passwords that I can't remember al the login details for all of them, and then have to send emails to reset passwords, which i then forget.

f*** it. Send me a bill in the post - if its still on the desk it needs paying, if its paid it goes in a file, in 12 months time the file gets binned. JD.

On passwords I'm quite organised. Was just about to explain my "system" but have realised even doing that on a public forum would be asking for trouble.

I think I read that Google is working on a hardware device that will verify according to your fingerprint. That will make things easier!

I used to write all mine down on a piece of paper then I forgot to keep updating it when I changed the passwords, then lost the piece of paper anyway.

Probably binned it with all the old bills

I carefully throw mine into a cupboard under the stairs. Then, like magic they transform into metal coat hangers and odd socks. Things we can then use.
