A bit speechless!

LucyLocket, it's you that is being argumentative and shooting people down in flames.
ElaineB followed by yourself were the ones who made it an argument in the way you replied to LucyLockets initial comment on the current state of the UK
I only ever try to give balanced, honest opinions on why myself and family have experienced - something a lot of newbies to the site don't like when they hear something negative about their new chosen country - I was once the same
You still dont like it and then your negative about it as well, which youre right does make a nice balanced viewpoint...or really indecisive...
As I have said to you already in this thread, I wish you every success in your move.
A kind word, possibly a bit late but at least its a start
There is a lot of negativity here in Canada about the recessions too. I do read the news from England and it does sound awful there. It sounds awful in the USA and it sounds awful in Ontario too. (Alberta is still in it's little bubble of denial at the moment).
The recession is only a part of whats going on in the UK, many of the problems have been present, and growing, for many years
So LucyLocket welcome to the forum - try to read balanced views yourself before getting defensive and argumentative - you'll get a lot more out of them that way. (I'm typing that in a suggestive helpful tone not a sarky one).
Once again defensiveness is only required in the face of hostility, what was she supposed to do when you started this ridiculous argument, reply "oh sorry maam, please forgive me for my transgression of not subscribing to the Piff Poff authorized view, it will never happen again" ? (written in a true questioning tone not a sarcastic one!!!)

FFS! End of for me, I really shouldnt care what you do but it really winds me up when people are attacked for no reason at all.

I've just read through the posts and I can't see where you are saying that you or Lucy are being attacked?
People have different views and opinions, there is plenty of room for everyone on BE.

You are one weird person - you're posts have really confused me. I have not done any attacking - at all. I was asked a question - that's all, I answered.
Anyway I have a lot more important things on my mind right now than wondering if someone has read my typewritten words the wrong way.

I think its best puttng this to bed rather than going round in circles, anyway have you had any luck in trying to find a new hairdresser?
One of the things I do is if you see anyone with a nice hair cut just go up to them and ask them where they get it done. They will like the compliment

I think that's whats happened here Piff Poff. I can't see where the posts you have written may have upset anyone.

I might if I remember that she was hot when I need the next haircut
more than likely I'll be sitting in the chair thinking how boring the guy is cutting my hair and that the last place at least she looked hot even if she was as dull as dish water

After reading all the reasons why, I'd still be inclined to stay put rather than come back the hole that the UK is at the moment!
