Hi all. saw this story in the pictorial newspaper:
YOUR BIRTHDAY WISHES WANTED
On the eve of his eighth birthday, an ontario boy with leukemia has made a wish to break the world record for the most birthday cards ever received.
His family is asking good samaritans from across the country to help him realize that goal by sending him a card in time for his May 30th birthday. He'll need to receive 350 million cards to break the record.
Shane Bernier, from Lancaster, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia - a cancer of the white blood cells - when he was 5.
After completing nearly two years of treatment, the leukemia relapsed.
---------------------------------
I have attached his name and address seperatly as i was not to sure about spam/junk mail being sent if i posted it openily on the forum?? if you cant open attachement email/IM me and i will give you the address.
For those off you out there in the UK you would need to send the card a.s.a.p for it to arrive in time.
I have enclosed a short not to shane in my card telling him about the expat community and that hopefully he will receive cards from the uk to. come on guys lets help this little lad out
