There's that Granite Brewpub place on Eglington that Messrs dbd33 and Novo and I met up in a few years back. No idea what it is like now. http://www.granitebrewery.ca/ The beer, from what I recall, was pretty good.

Thanks all.

This is great.

I never knew Toronto had so many good places to drink.

Here it is...it is an old restored water works building or something like that. From what I gather from the website the beer is sold at a number of deps and other bars in the area. The two most popular draught beers are also featured at large tables that seat 10 or so. They have a tap in the middle of the table and you fill your glass from there and pay based on volume (I was told there really isn't any savings but it is just a fun way for a group to self serve)

I agree and was going to suggest it, but it's not really downtown (although very easily accessible on the tube).

Not downtown, but Allen's on Danforth has an excellent range of beers, and a lovely patio to boot.

Well, if we can list country places (and I do very much like Allen's) then The Feathers on Kingston Road is a proper pub with real ale. So's that place on Eglinton, the Granite Brewery.

On edit, must have hallucinated the absence of the past few posts, better have a drink.

If you want good food to compliment good beer try "The Wellington".
