From: Bristol ~ Nanaimo, BC ... It's a bit like Salem's Lot!!

Hello Bananahammock (funny name! Mine is Grandmother in Inuktitut), I had to reply to your kind message to congratulate you on your brilliant photography - You are a real pro. I've been looking for a nice photo of "our bridge" (you know the one I mean). I'd like it for wallpaper on my screen. If you have one please contact me. In fact, please do contact me anyway. We could start a club - Nanaimo Bristolians! All two of us!
Bananahammock comes from an old episide of Friends (don't let any dirty minded BEer's tell you anything else
)Not sure we'd have too many takers to join a Nanaimo Bristolians club but you know what they say ~ good things come in small packages!
... there are quite a few BEer's here though.I sent you a PM (private message on the top right of the screen)

Yes, just go to the BBC's home page, click on radio, and fill your boots.

Listening to BBC Radio is not a problem. Just go to the BBC homepage, click on Radio4 (you do want intelligent radio, don't you?) or Radio7 for old stuff (quite good, plenty of drama and some classic comedy) and listen. The problem lies in TV, which the BBC has all locked up.

As I wrote previously you can get it, but it's not free.

Hello, I just found this site. I lived in Montreal for 28 years but when I retired I escaped to the Paradise of Nanaimo, BC. Now I am 8 hours later than the UK I find it very difficult to schedule listening to the radio drama and comedy on the BBC which I like to listen to. I have heard of a website or gadget which will record radio and replay it later....does anyone know about this? And can anyone tell me how to watch The Bill/Casualty/Holby Blue on the net? I pay Bell for BBC Canada but they shortchange us by broadcasting episodes which are years old, then suddenly drop them without explanation, and to add insult to injury they then rebroadcast them a couple of years later! The nerve!
I do find the CBC radio is pretty good, but they have little drama/comedy. By the way, anyone living in Nanaimo?
