Yes, they're really missing a trick on that one.

Didn't know that. On the other hand, four years is a couple of decades in Internet time, so maybe they should try again. Especially for licence-payers!

My entire network is up and running without any complications. Not sure whether you can use the same DNS I am using :-

That's nice.

But I can't imagine why people in Canada would want BBC iPlayer.

I'm in the UK right now, using a VirginMedia thingy which works of course, but apart from the News BBC is I'm afraid to announce a shadow of it's former self.

Not worth worrying about IMHO.

Probably no-one used it because of the other loopholes. Wonder if it's worth trying again if they manage to close these loopholes properly.

Indeed you do.

But may I belatedly congratulate both you and G. on your latest issue.

I was offline for the most part in August and missed the relevant thread.

More likely due to this:

The best service I've found for watching overseas media is www.overplay.net Whilst not free it enables you to select a VPN for virtually any country in the world with the option to use their smartDNS service which enables you to preselect different countries for different services. EG UK for BBC, Us for Netflix, Amazon prime Sweden etc. I've found it very fast. You can also add it to your mobile tablet etc.
