Default BBC iPlayer

Has anyone else seen the reliability nosedive since they reformatted it? Most things I try and watch only result in the 'try again' button appearing. Repeatedly.

Which service do you use to watch it?

I've not been able to stream any HD programmes to the TV (LG Smart TV) in the last week or so.

SD works, but HD just won't.

We use UnoTelly.

Yep, we had problems. I deleted cookies and history this evening and it's been ok so far.

I haven't watched BBC in a while but ITV has been going a treat.

But due to this thread I tried BBC and repeatedly got the 'try again' message.

Just did some research and some have suggested deleting cookies, removing-reinstalling etc.

I found where someone said disabling and enabling did the trick for them (it wasn't clear if they meant for each use) without mucking about with cookies.

I disabled and couldn't get ITV (not surprising but I just wanted to check I wasn't getting it for some other reason) and enabled and got ITV back.

So far so good.

I then tried BBC and got that too.

So a simple disable/enable in add-on manager might be enough.

Deleting cookies seems a lot dimple than enable/disable, whatever that is!

Not much in it but one might mean having to re-enter a bunch of saved passwords and user names on a dozen sites while the other doesn't.

Free trial?

It's just a normal add-on with Firefox.

Ah, you need to tick the right boxes before you delete. So what's this enable thing? BBChas just hiccuped again so maybe the cookies weren't the problem

Yep, did that. Installed Hola and it worked first time. Only time will tell though... I remember suddenly hitting a wall with stealthy too. I wonder if ITV and 4 will work for me now. Last time I tried, ITV accused me of having an ad blocker that I couldn't find for love nor money... Thanks for your help!
