Batman - Thwack!!!
#1
Well, just had a blast from the past. Was channel hopping and came onto BBC Four where Batman had just started.
I had to keep it on. My 10 year old daughter came in and asked what I was laughing at, so she sat down and watched it with me. She loved it.
I'd forgotten all about the bad fight scenes, with all the THWACK, KLONK, BIFF, BOSH.
Any other Batman fans out there or any other progs that you are not ashamed to admit to loving?

I watched some re-runs a while back.
My favourite is definitely the episode where Batman and Robin are dangling from a helicopter and there is a very fierce, if a little rubbery, shark attached to Robin's leg.
He merely removed the 'anti-shark spray' from the utility belt and presto the shark is dealt with.
A classic

I loved that series. tehre was one with a maze, and batman tells robin that its simple, every maze can be worked trough by going two right, then one left and then three right to get to teh middle. For years i thought it was true.
I'd love this series on dvd.

Another show from my childhood was "Stingray".
I wanted to be like Marina when I grew up (the swimming and long hair bit, not the mute bit)

I loved Batman. I've even got some pictures of Adam West I took at Virgin's store on Oxford Street back in 1988!
My cousin used to tease me by saying that there was a secret access to the batcave that was under the stairs leading to the garage of my grandparents' house!
Naturally, I was never at my grandparents when the access was open...
Also loved The Time Tunnel, Land of the Giants and Thunderbirds. Can't forget to mention The Three Stooges and Zorro!
My favourite one, though, was a Japanese cartoon called "Super DÃÂnamo" (portrayed in my avatar), whose name in English - I think - was Perman. Don't think they ever shown that in English speaking countries, though. One of the best things in my childhood was to watch these cartoons. Some info in English may be found here: http://home.alphalink.com.au/~roglen/perman.htm

I remember my cousins (all male) watching Batman and I got into it but never really watched it much at home (parents restricted my tv watching
!)
Anyone remember The Adventure Game?? That was cool
. I loved the end bit when they used to get zapped by the Vortex.
