Bathtub within the bedroom?
Just wondering the following. I recently was on business in Montreal and stayed in a hotel room where there was an additional bathtub within the bedroom in addition to the normal washroom/bathroom. As I have never seen this kind of arrangement before, I was wondering if that was a unique Quebec thing? I've never seen this, not even in France.

Re: Bathtub within the bedroom?
Was the tub a normal sized in the bedroom area? Or a larger 2 person Jacuzzi type tub?
In some hotels they will have suites marketed towards couples that will have a larger tub with Jacuzzi like jets for romantic get a ways. I have however not seen a hotel with 2 normal sized tubs in the room. |
Re: Bathtub within the bedroom?
Apparently they're a thing.

Hourly rates by any chance? ;)
There were no hourly rates, however the neighborhood didn't really appeal for a couple for a romantic getaway either..... That whole setting in mind contributed to my confusion.... |
Re: Bathtub within the bedroom?
I've stayed at such places in the USA. Jacuzzi style baths in a time share place in Orlando Florida, and a boutique style bed and breakfast place in Port Townsend in Washington. Other places have the jacuzzi outside, but these places didn't have a porch in one case, and a small one for the other.

Re: Bathtub within the bedroom?
Our family council house in UK had a bathtub in the kitchen. I recall it had a hinged cover and was normally used as a table for eating....I was in the RAF so only ever visited and never used the tub.
Years later the Council lifted modular bathrooms over the roofs into the back yard of all the terraced houses and added as an extension....and the tubs were removed. |

On Escape to the Country many properties have bathtubs in the bedroom. I suppose the idea is intended to be erotic but I always think of soggy carpets and wet hair on the pillow. |
Re: Bathtub within the bedroom?
Well there is a VERY posh and upmarket place called Cowley Manor Hotel just south of Cheltenham in the UK that is a boutique type hotel. A number of the rooms have a bath in the bedroom itself - it is a regency stately home but inside it is ruthlessly modern Scandinavian design.

(what is the idea behind vibrating beds anyway...you just couple up and let the bed do the rest?) |
Re: Bathtub within the bedroom?
Seems to be something of a vibrator theme on here today.
