When I bake I use Brodies and it works fine in a Victoria sandwich cake, standard recipe.

All-purpose flour has no rising agent, hence the glue. Baking powder alone is not enough - you must add salt.

I have Robin Hood flour, and haven't had a problem with it, that being said...(3) I have only made pancakes, of the French crepe variety. I'm not sure what other sort there may be. But we have pancakes every Sunday morning, for me with crispy bacon and cheese and for kidlet with Nutella, and husband, if here, with bacon and ...yuck...Maple syrup!
...I feel they give a sense of timing that more mundane punctuation doesn't reach in a website...maybe it's time I bid adieu...but it'll be a rollercoaster too far!

Which strictly speaking is not an ellipsis but more of an aposeopsis. Apart from there being too many dots....

Actually, I don't have a problem with elipses except when they are overused.
As for maple syrup, bacon, and pancakes...it's a fine combination. As long as the syrup goes mainly on the pancake and not the bacon!
