I am not going back any time soon and I would rather get used to using what is available here

HID couldn't bake bloody potato. Fortunately for her there's a rather good pie shop in the local market.

When I bake I use Brodies and it works fine in a Victoria sandwich cake, standard recipe.

All-purpose flour has no rising agent, hence the glue. Baking powder alone is not enough - you must add salt.

I'm sorry, Shard, but I must drive you bonkers, I'm fond of 'em, but never more than 3!

I have Robin Hood flour, and haven't had a problem with it, that being said...(3) I have only made pancakes, of the French crepe variety. I'm not sure what other sort there may be. But we have pancakes every Sunday morning, for me with crispy bacon and cheese and for kidlet with Nutella, and husband, if here, with bacon and ...yuck...Maple syrup!

...I feel they give a sense of timing that more mundane punctuation doesn't reach in a website...maybe it's time I bid adieu...but it'll be a rollercoaster too far!

I guite like them...finding them very expressive in an informal way....a verbal cliff hanger can be expressed thusly.........

Which strictly speaking is not an ellipsis but more of an aposeopsis. Apart from there being too many dots....

Actually, I don't have a problem with elipses except when they are overused.

As for maple syrup, bacon, and pancakes...it's a fine combination. As long as the syrup goes mainly on the pancake and not the bacon!

Brownies aren't supposed to be frosted in the first place.
