Errrmmm....
No expert on bacon but my hubby gets it from Superstore and Sobeys and Safeway.....Streaky not back I should say. Can't say I have ever noticed a flavour other than salt!!! Anyway...It seems just fine??
Glad you are happy though!

I think Bazzz is a member of a group that likes bacon - he could well be interested in this thread!!

All the streaky I have bought over here is so fatty, even if the front rasher looks lean enough the deeper down you get the fattier they become. Have now bought English style round bacon (hardly any fat) and grill it together with the streaky, the fat at least gives the anaemic looking English bacon a little flavour. Throw on some waffles and maple syrup and a squirt of tomato ketchup, delicious -I can feel a cooked breakfast coming on!!!

this really is NOT streaky bacon
just frying some up now with eggs, fried bread, baked beans, fried tomato , mushrooms and the last of their cumberland sausages.
for tea (no not what the canadians think when you say this and ask me what kind of tea im having lol) im tempted to have BACON BUTTIES with daddies sauce
uuummm the smell is wafting through, sorry got to go have my english style back bacon
