Awesome!
I order a coffee and the server tells me it is "awesome"
I hold a door open for someone and am told it is "awesome"
I take my own bags to the supermarket .... guess what ... that's "awesome" too!
What would everyone say if something REALLY awesome happened?

The other adjectives are used inappropriately too. It's no big deal. People are full of awe when you bring your own bags, not is it a fantasy, nor full of wonder, or a marvel. It's just a little local colour. It used to annoy me, now it amuses. One day I may say it.
