HI
Has anyone "callenged the test" in BC to become a licenced automotive technician????
My OH has been a mechanic in the UK for almost 20 years and has worked in a garage here in Canada for almost a year, he has finally got around to applying to challenge to test - but he's really nervous about it!!!
Has anyone got any inside info that might put his mind at rest?

My OH did the Alberta one. The test is different every time but his had lots of the mathematical stuff and lots of welding stuff in it. If your OH has been working in a BC garage for a year he should be up on the terminology and stuff. One thing my OH did say was they trick you with the questions by wording them in a complicated way. Good luck to your OH!

Do lots of revision, read the books. I had no welding stuff in mine, lots on auto boxes and aircon. All multiple choice, done in about 50 minutes of a 3 hour exam, easy-peasy.
