In the interests of not high-jacking someone else's thread. Just thought I'd tell nidfc what we've been doing the last few days. He [nldfc] needs to get out here and have at it!
Just bought ten new reels and some great rods. Plus, with the sockeye run we're up to 90lbs of fish in three days, to be both hot and cold smoked. |
Re: Attn: nldfc
Looking good in the fish department got to get myself a trip over for next season
Those reels look like the dogs danglies as well - did you get a good deal on them ? |

Re: Attn: nldfc
We have our fall cod fishery open at the end of this month for a week - will have to make do with that for just now :D

So you stun the fish with 1Kw of sound and then pick them out of the water?

Expecting my 1st box of snow crab any day now with any luck We've had to entertain ourselves with pawning and crabbing which while instantly gratifying doesn't quite have the same thrill of the hunt. Got about 800 spot pawns though, which is about two five gallon buckets full. |

Fishing is great but the catching sucks. I actually had to go an do some work last week so I didn't get out till yesterday morning. Lots of bait around but hardly any fish. They'll come eventually. :fingerscrossed:

They're ugly buggers but very tasty when battered and deep fried. |
