Just watched Flintoff on news at 10 and he said it would take something spectacular to keep him out of the next test! |

http://timesonline.typepad.com/line_...eplace-kp.html Ian Bell seems the favourite annoyingly. The man they need back has got to be Marcus Trescothick!!! |
Re: Ashes Series on TV
Great session this morning 7 wickets for 77 runs- dare I give it the kiss of death and say: England could actually win back to back tests against the Aussies?

http://supersoccerstreams.blogspot.com/ I'm watching the first one okay.....you have to scroll down a fair way 'til you get to the cricket streams but heck, it's worth it eh? |
Re: Ashes Series on TV
Bell is a lucky lad. That was out.
Bopara crap again. Onions and Anderson bowled well. England with noses in front but weather not looking good for tomorrow. |

I think we are relying on a Strauss century and a couple of quick 30's from Flintoff and Prior which should see us get our noses in front once the tailenders go out and have a swing. I sense another nail biter- although I am down to my fingers- ouch! |
Re: Ashes Series on TV
With the washout today I doubt we'll get a result. Shame as Anderson and Onions bowling deserved something. Apparently Bumble is feeling under the weather, probably a dodgy jalfrezi.

Re: Ashes Series on TV
Well that's it a draw. North and Clarke played great so hats off to the Aussies. It was still a great match, with lots of banter and some drama to keep us all interested. Bumble seemed back on form and did a nice rendition of Animal of the Muppet song using Manou's name.
Off to Headingly on Friday. Hope to get a result there. |

Re: Ashes Series on TV
We got royaly turned over. Pathetic batting, poor bowling and no spirit. They shold hang their heads in shame.
Said before that Bopara should be dropped, Bell is crap, and I don't think much of Onions. Probably need two spinners at the Oval. Bring in Rampers and Key and tell Cook to get runs or he's off too. I'm spitting mad as we've most likely lost the Ashes. :frown::frown: |

Yes- I think if Flintoff plays it could be a shot in the arm but the current side have next to no chance of winning the last test.

Re: Ashes Series on TV
Well Trott in at number four and Giles and co's love child Bell bumped up to three. At least the fancy dress should be a good laugh. The Oval test seems to bring out the nutters. :)

Yeah - just a shame I can't bring myself to get excited about the result. Seems too much like a foregone conclusion after the abject performance last Test. :(

What gets me is that a lot of the England team seem really lackadaisical about the game if their Twiter accounts are anything to go by.

My feelings exactly match Oakvillians - just can't get excited about it after the last performance. |
