Re: Artisan wells
Maybe the rustic look is added by the artisan.

Props to Steve. |
Re: Artisan wells
You don't need to put anything down the well but it sounds as though you might well (no pun intended) need some treatment/filtrattion to remove Iron Sulphides. Filtration ranges from 'buy it at Home Depot' for $100 to systems costing several thousand. I suggest you look for a water treatment specialist nearby & perhaps talk to your neighbours and see whether they have had similar problems & if so what they've done about it.

Re: Artisan wells
I think finding a water specialist will be my best bet. My neighbour is in her
80's and is only french speaking - I don't think my french will stretch that far. Too complicated. |

Re: Artisan wells
My daughter in law's Dad has a company that looks after problems such as this:
http://www.ruralwater.ca/ only trouble is its in Regina. However, there are probably other companies that take care of rust problems in rural water supplies. I note that they have customers in BC. Perhaps they will sell to any province. I will ask. |
Re: Artisian wells

Re: Artisan wells
No way -- the devil woman is my younger son's ex-partner. This is my older son's wife -- no comparison. This one is the nicest person you could meet.
I actually emailed her after I looked at their ad. Nobody was home at their place and I am wondering if you could have one of these systems in the city. I always forget to check the stupid salt in my water softener and when I remember it - there is a bunch of water down the bottom and no salt. I figure it would be nice to have a system that didn't require lugging those great bags of salt home! |
